Is your third eye open? Can you see spirits and ghost? Is it scary to have your 3rd eye open? There are a lot of questions that been sent to us by our followers at TikTok so as many people have tried to answer it. In this video, I am sharing to everyone my experience in having my 3rd Eye opened.
So now, What is the 3rd Eye?
According to Wikipedia, the Third Eye is a mystical and esoteric concept of a speculative invisible eye, usually depicted as located on the forehead, which provides perception beyond ordinary eyes.
Most likely, the teachings about the Third Eye comes from Hindu and Buddhist Spiritual Tradition that taught about the Chakra System that pertains to the Ajna or Brow Chakra. If Hindu/ Buddhist Spiritual Tradition has it, so our Ancient Ancestors must know about it too as we are also became a country that been influenced by the Srivijaya and Majapajit Empire. Though we said that we are under influence of the Hindu/Buddhist Spiritual tradition, that does not mean that our ancestors do not have our own spiritual belief system. Historians and experts know that our ancestors are animist which is that our ancestors believe in the presence of the spirits that inhibit natural objects and phenomena. Since our Ancestors are Animist, seeing the unseen are already common for us. It’s more likely that the Hindu/ Buddhist Spiritual Tradition have documented this natural phenomena and write this up to give explanation of this condition that we may understand it now. This is the effect of having an open mind and no restriction to Spirituality that their Spiritual Beliefs become organized and widely accepted as Religion. But it is a challenge for us a Modern Filipino now living in the 21st Century, to documents our Ancestral Spiritual Beliefs and Practices that i may not get lost through time, which becomes our goal here in Luntiang Aghama to preserve and promote Filipino Traditional and Indigenous Spiritual Beliefs and Practices through Filipino Magick.
Now how do we view about having third Eye?
All of us have 3rd Eye specially you who are reading this article now. It is part of our self that we could not just easily remove. Like our Physical Eye that we use to see things, our 3rd Eye is within us that help us see with our mind’s eye. It is the ability of all individual living beings to create image within our mind to easily understand things that is going on around us. Having third eye is part of the faculties of the mind. It is said that our mind is responsible for mental phenomena that includes sensation, imagination, will, memory and thought. And also the mind is also responsible for our own perception, pain, experience, belief, desires, intention and emotion. But as we specifically use the term 3rd Eye, which our literal eyes are the doorway or window of the light that enters our body; our 3rd Eye also is the window of our souls which allow us to perceive the light of the Divine. When our Physical Eyes see materials things, our 3rd Eye or Spiritual Eyes see the Spiritual things. In our video, I have explained that our World where we live is composed of Energy. This Energy is not created nor can be destroyed but it could change form. This Energy makes us to have the ability to do work. And through that energy, we are able to create things. Energy that surround us can be seen or unseen, as its activities are described as Kenetic and Potential Energies, which the Kenetic are the one that are in movement, while the Potential one are at rest. We as Human Being so as all the animals, plants and everything that we could see around us are the manifestation of that energy. As it is a manifestation, we could see and interact with it. The Air in our atmosphere is also a form of energy. But we could not see the Air, but that does not mean that the Air does not exist because we do not see it. It exist because we know as we breath we gain benefit from it as we also feel it.
Seeing the Unseen
In our lessons at Hilot Academy, we have shared through the Non Contact Hilot: Mind and Spirit Working Class about the Non Human Spirits. We also have discussed about the nature of the spirits, the spirit within us, our souls, and even the Non Human Spirits. All of these are forms of spirits which our ancestors have dealt with specially our Babaylan (By the way, The Non Contact Hilot: Mind and Spirit Class is providing certification to an individul become a Pangatauhan/Pangutanahan/Paganituhan which is one of the skills competency of a Babaylan). As we talk about the unseen, many Filipino now-a-days would think of Ghost, Diwata and the Engkanto. These are usually the unseen beings of the Philippine Indigenous Spirituality and Folklore.
As we have mentioned above that these Spirits are form of unseen energy that exist around us even though we do not see them. People having their 3rd Eye open will see them beneficial rather than in a malevolent form. In the realms of Philippine Indigenous Spirituality, the concept of good and bad does not exist but rather these unseen beings (energy) serves their purpose accordingly.
Doorway or Window of Light
As our physical eyes allow us to see things such as reading this article, it also allow us to determine colors and perceive objects that we know. WE use our physical eyes in learning as our parents introduce us to forms and shapes, shades and colors and so on and so forth. It is through our eyes that we can see movement and action of other people, their height and even size. As long as we know the things that we see, we can make judgement of it whether it is pleasing or not. But if it is not common, we use our eyes to study it. But there are time that when a person lose their eyesight, they utilize their second eyes which is their other senses. But the third eye of mankind, is the one that determine their use and benefit.
When we close our eyes and think, we see vision in our mind. When we see it even there is nothing in the physical plane of existence, that means our third eye is at work. Our 3rd Eye allow us to have imagination and ideas. It help us see what will happen tomorrow as we make our plans today. It is also our third eye help us tell how we could help in a situation even without asking directly to the person involve. You know as Filipino, we are expert on that. We can always tell what happen next into our life or even to the lives of other people. Just kidding!
But as the physical eyes becomes the door way or window of Light, our Third Eye too will bring light to us. It will give us knowledge and understanding of the things unknown that will eliminate from us our confusion, doubts and fears. Sometimes this 3rd eye thing can also be called as Common Sense.
Determining Vision vs. delusion and Illusion
For us who claim to have an opened 3rd Eye, as we always teach in Luntiang Aghama that we should always know the difference between reality and fantasy. That rule also applies when conducting psychic investigation on paranormal phenomena. As much as possible, we are clearing our thoughts about hearsay and testimony of the people involved so that the information that we will gather will not be influenced by it.
Having a 3rd Eye means having a clear vision either of the natural object presented or phenomenon. A person with a 3rd eye will not indulge themselves to hearsay and false information given by other people or even the person who witness the phenomena. We can use their testimony as our basis for investigation, but we will not be influenced by what other people think about the situation. Because if we do, it will become an illusion that been created by someone through auto suggestion.
The person with an Open 3rd Eye will have no fear of seeing vision. And from the vision that you have, either with your physical eyes (through peripheral vision) or within your mind’s eye, you will dig in for the information why these phenomenon occur. Thus people having their 3rd Eye open becomes a medium of the unseen to communicate with the seen. You are like a Laboratory Scientist who inspect the unseen bacteria on a microscope and study their behavior of what is their purpose and mission in this world.
So if you are saying that you have an Open 3rd Eye, and know not what to do, then what is best for you to do is to study more and train your ability to benefit from the Divine Gift that you have. Most of the times, people see their divine gifts as a curse because they do not know how to properly use it. So instead of spreading peace and good will, their ignorance of the gifts bring forth fear and confusion to the world.
As the Eye perceives the Light, may your 3rd Eye bring forth the Divine Light that will give you courage to make Peace in the world whether to the seen beings or unseen!
