Last November 11, 2021- I’ve been a guest at My Haunted Stories as hosted by Ms. Vixey Lema of Mulat Media. This is my second time on their show talking about the beliefs and practices of Luntiang Aghama.

On this article, i want to share to everyone my experience on my latest guesting with Ms Vixey on her My Haunted Stories Program. Like every time I face camera from different people, there is a nervousness that happen as I may not satisfy their taste when i answer some of their question. But I am very thankful that the My Haunted Stories team with ms. Vixey together with Direk Mel Bacani III and Ms. Rona have made me feel comfortable throughout the program.
And the Highlight of my recent guesting is when Ms. Vixey have asked me to share the Process of Hilot as we apply the principles of healing in accordance to the beliefs and practices of the Shrine.
In this short video clip, i was discussing about the nature of our Indigenous beliefs, practices of our spirituality and it was followed up with a question about the Hilot Process.
In my response as a healer, one should understand the content of what made a human to live which is the body, soul and the spirit. In order to describe the relationship of the body, soul and the spirit- i have mentioned the marionette puppet.
In this image, we see the puppet doll which is made of wood to represent the Physical body; and on the joint of the puppet we can see that there are strings that attached to it on which it allows the body to move. And at the end of the String we can see a man who is the puppet master who makes the puppet move.
We know already that in this image our body is represented by the puppet, while the string attached to our body is our soul. As you notice there are many strings that is attached to our body; as many strings that are attached to us so as the soul. This strings make us to have more function and make us animate and alive than being stationary. But with this many functions and abilities of our souls, there are time that these strings becomes tangled to one another that makes it difficult for the puppeteer to operate. This means that the twisting of the strings to each other gives blockages for the spirit to operate in our life. And when this happens, the role of the manghihilot comes in to entangle the twisted strings to make the puppet and the puppeteer to work harmoniously to one another.
Another topic which I discuss here is the role of the elements such as the Earth, Air, Fire and Water as our Elder which was used by the creator to create us. This is the reason why some of the elementals are attracted to us on which some of the healers think to be the cause of illness. But on our point of view, the elementals do not really give us illness but when it happens, they only remind us of what is lacking on our own element composition that we need to take care of.
At the same time if we think of the Elementals as Egkanto of having Magickal powers, this may also mean that we as Human possess such Great Power as well from the Elements of Earth, Air, Fire and Water.
