Filtering our Senses

We as human beings are being gifted by the Divine with the Sense of Sight, Hearing, Smell, Taste and Touch. Above these senses that we have, we are also been gifted with intellect to create a common sense. In our Peace Weaving Episode today we have discussed the importance of these senses in forming our behaviour.

Each of our senses are connected to our body organs and thus when it perceive something we form our behaviour such as when our eyes see colours we learn how to appreciate beauty; or when we hear something pleasant and lively our body reacts to the sounds that we hear. Human beings are the most intellectual creature that the creator have made in this world. And through our Intellect we can also create things according to our desires. But through that ability to create things it give us also the power to influence other people.

Now-a-days everyone of us already have possessed the power to influence other people through Mass Media. Even the ordinary people now have the ability to publish their thoughts on social media. Indeed that the modern world have given us Great Power in order to have control in our lives. But unfortunately it is not only our personal lives that we have in control but also with the lives of other people.

We can make a post of our thoughts into social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube. These social media platform has the ability to reach people around the world and can make you a social influencer. The Ideas we have that we share as a content in this social media platform can be a powerful tool to influence other people. This is the same reason why we use Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr and WordPress to publish our thoughts in Peace Weaving. But aside from our work there are also other people using these platform to express their ideas of hate and violence.

These platforms now become a tool in forming the behaviour of the public who have access to this technology. They become superior in using these technologies and even they earn money from it. But with these technologies that exist now in our generation, i pray that we could use it to preserve and maintain the original nature of our environment. I hope that these tools that are available to us can be use in creating peace to improve our lives and to prepare the next generation to be more peaceful and successful in their lives.
