Be Grateful

Welcoming new students in our Shrine is an amazing opportunity to learn more about their culture and tradition as i share our own. Instead of training what we do is sharing instead of teaching. As i share our arts and science of natural healing in return i learn their history, culture and tradition like what we did in Peace Prayer Journey before on our Online Radio. Watch to learn more.

The work of Luntiang Aghama is to revive and preserve our Indigenous Belief system in Spirituality and Healthcare as part of the Philippine Tradition and Culture. We do this so that the next Generation of Filipino may still enjoy it. Last time on my Facebook post about taking a bad after having hilot is not allowed i receive comment that my post is a common sense and all Filipino already know it and making Hilot as a luxury. But what this commentator did not realize that even her doesn’t know what hilot is about and mistaken it as a luxury such as in Spa Treatment Massage.

If we do not do this work of sharing information and teaching the principles and practice of Hilot, the Ancient Ways of our Indigenous Healer will be forgotten and will just see it like a Spa Treatment Massage. Indeed now-a-days Spa and Massage Centers offer Hilot as a Luxury. It will cost you a price in order to experience the Touch of Hilot. But when you try it on Spa and Massage Centers you will only receive Massage strokes that is no different from Swedish Massage.

Angono_Petroglyphs_centeredThis is also the same thing that happen to our Indigenous Spiritual Belief System. Now-a-days many people already have forgotten that our ancestors prior to the Colonization of the Spaniards, we are already calling to our own God. This is evidenced by the Angono- Binangonan Petroglyphs that consist of 127 human and animal figures engraved on the rock wall believed to be a form of prayer for healing. And this engraving is believed to be curved during the late Neolithic or 2000 BC. And this is just one of the evidence that prior to the coming of the Spaniards in our Country that our ancestors already believe and call upon our own God.

On our First day as we get to know each other and as they receive their Hilot experience with me, i learned that as Filipino we should be grateful that we still remember our own Healing and Spiritual Tradition because in France, though Alternative Medicine is popular but in terms of their very own Traditional Medicine most modern people already have forgotten.

As i learn that, i realize that we as Filipino are very blessed that our Country as young Nation has been freed early from colonization. That as Filipino we still remember who we are before coming of the Colonizer. We as a Nation haven’t experience the trauma of Generations of Blood Sheds, Monarchy’s and Dictatorships of it’s leaders. As a nation we rise up to build our Identity as a Filipino. And currently today as a Young Nation, all of us who are still alive have the participation in Building our Nation to be Great. And on my part, i share my commitment in Reviving the works of our Ancestors though Anituhan and Hilot Binabaylan.
