Sleep is a wonderful moment in our life that we could stop for a moment from work to gather again all of our energy back again to our body. In sleep, it becomes a doorway of opportunity to have dreams, to be inspired and be energized again to have enough strength to be used during our waking up life. Sleep is a medicine that not only benefit from it but also our Soul.
Ancient Filipino believe that we as humans have soul ( 7 souls to some tribes) and this soul is with us during awake which our Babaylan call it as our twin or kakambal and when we die is called kaluluwa.
During our Sleep, our kakambal wonder out of our body; and the experiences of our kakambal out of our body is what we call dreams.
In dreams, all things are posible. All of our prayers and wishes can be found there as it is being formed before it manifest into reality. All the unseen creatures during awake can be seen in our dreams such as our dead relatives, friends and ancestors can be found there as if they are living alive in the dream world. In our dreams we can also see all the mythological creatures whether they are just a creation of the mind through imagination such as the fairies, elves, nymphs, mermaids, dragons, etc. And most of all through dreams, we could talk to our Spirit Guides and Anito. In dreams the boundery of time and space does not exist, so the concept of the past, present or future does not apply there but only the here and now.
Since our Kakambal travel a lot through dreams, it encounter a lot of experience that we can bring to our reality. Modern inventions, composition, art works, technology and life force can be brought up in reality through our dreams; and even the answers to an unanswerable questions can also be found there.
