In a world filled with diverse belief systems—Abrahamic religions, Oriental philosophies, Hinduism, Buddhism, and even the mythologies of Greece, Egypt, and the Americas—why would someone choose to walk the path of Filipino Indigenous Spirituality?
For me, the answer is simple yet profound: I have returned to the roots of my race, to the spiritual essence of the Filipino people. After years of exploring Christianity, Islam, and Judaic traditions, I realized that the Filipino soul has its own divine heritage—a heritage that empowers rather than enslaves, that calls us to co-create rather than merely submit.
Foreign Gods vs. Our Diwata
Many foreign religions teach that blessings flow from submission and obedience. Their gods often demand servitude, positioning humanity as dependent recipients of divine favor.
But the Filipino Diwata are different. They do not merely bestow blessings—they empower us. They awaken the creative force within us so that we can supply our own needs and shape our destiny. In this sacred partnership, we become co-creators, working hand in hand with the divine forces of nature.
This is why we call our practice WORkmanSHIP—a worship that is not passive but active, not slavery but synergy. It is the labor of love, creativity, and harmony with the cosmos.
Why Not Other Systems?
Hinduism, Buddhism, and other global traditions are rich and profound, but they are rooted in cultures far from our own. To adopt them fully often means disconnecting from our ancestral worldview.
Choosing the Landas ng Lahi is not about rejecting others—it is about rooting ourselves in what is authentically ours. It is about healing the wounds of colonization and reviving the spiritual sovereignty of the Filipino people.
The Vision of Our Path
Every prayer, ritual, and teaching in this path is an act of cultural restoration. It is a declaration that the Filipino spirit is alive, creative, and free. By walking this path, we do not only honor our ancestors—we build a living tradition for future generations.
Manifesto for the Path of Our Race (Landas ng Lahi)
We believe:
1. That the Filipino people have their own God, their own Diwata, and their own sacred cosmology.
2. That divinity does not enslave but empowers, calling us to be co-creators of life and harmony.
3. That worship is not submission but WORkmanSHIP—a creative partnership with the divine.
4. That our spirituality is rooted in the land, the ancestors, and the living traditions of our race.
5. That, by walking the Landas ng Lahi, we reclaim our identity, heal our history, and shape a future of sovereignty and peace.
Our Call:
To honor the Diwata, to live in harmony with nature, and to empower every Filipino to create, innovate, and thrive.
Our Vision:
A world where the Filipino spirit shines as a beacon of creativity, resilience, and sacred partnership with the divine.
