It was 24 years ago when Luntiang Aghama has been conceived as an online common interest group at Yahoo! Clubs. But the interest of making my magical practice into public started way back in 1998 when a certain person notices me and ask if I could teach her Magick. Though, I am not a teacher at that time, but I only share what I experience in practicing the occult at that time and still the same up to know even I have already achieved the Teacher Status. Year 2000 was a time Changer as the Age of Aquarius began as it gives birth to a new world that the practice of Magick emerge back into our world. It was my Father’s Birthday on December 12, 2000, after 9:00 PM when I started conceptualizing to create an online group at Yahoo! Clubs that will focus on the study on the Occult, Magick, Mysticism, Paranormal, Parapsychology, Metaphysics, Psychism and Alternative Spirituality. It took me time to think what name I should call the organization that I am creating at that time. Name came in as I ask my Higher Selves, and the name of Philippine Wiccan Society pass by to my mind, but my Higher Self rejected that because I am not a Wiccan that time. Then if I am not a Wiccan my mind suggests calling the group as Philippine Witches Society and again it was rejected as being a Witch has a negative impression to the Society since our Country has been a Catholic Nation, so if I do that, I should expect discrimination and persecutions from the people around me.

So, I thought of hiding the practice into more acceptable term that Prayer Warriors Society came in to my mind, but again it was rejected because it will be more deceptive to lure people in joining the group expecting they will only pray but the real practice is to cast spells and magick. So, my idea of naming a group should be on a neutral ground that I think of the characteristic of magick that I am practicing. So, I thought of my role in the group as Steward of Mother Earth, Love for Nature, and a Healer. The concept of Chakra came into my mind as it is represented by the Color of the Rainbow. I also think of the reality at that moment in magickal practice of having a Left Hand Path and the Right Hand Path which I oppose in my mind as I believe that being human, the left and the right is important and must go hand in hand. So, the group must stand on the Middle Ground and as I analyze the spectrum of the Rainbow, it was the Color Green that stands on the middle that share the vibration of the lower and higher light. The color green becomes a doorway for the dark and light color which represents the left hand and right-hand path and the one who maintains balance.

The name Luntian came to my mind, and it looks appealing. It’s been already 3:00 AM of December 13, 2000 when that thought came into my mind. I loved it as it means to me to be the color of the Earth because of the trees, plants, flowers and herbs that grows in our living planet, and it connects to our nature and my role as being a healer. The Color Green also stands for financial wealth as it also signifies the color of money. And the word Aghama came in later on 2001, when the online group decides to have an in person meet up at Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wild Life in Quezon City. I’ve been asked by one of our participants on what name should be a alternative to call a Witch, and the word Aghama came it. The word Aghama came to replace the term witch because being a witch must be knowledgeable. It is derived from the root word “wit” which came from the old english word “witan” that means to know. Though the Filipino word of to know is Alam that is why the Malayang Maaram system of Luntiang Aghama has been employed as our guide in accordance to our By Laws.

The Word Aghama has a root word of Agham which means Science which also has an origin from the word “scire” which means to know. And from this term came in our Motto that says: The Wisdom of God gave Knowledge to Men; and the Wisdom of Men is to know God.” This has been my principle ever since that push me to start Luntiang Aghama as an organization and this principle has install me as its Chief Priest. Then later on I found out that the word Agama which of Hindu/ Sanskrit which means Tradition or Scripture. It has a root word “Gam” which means to go or to come signifying the transmission of knowledge from one generation to another. Though in Indonesia and Malasia, the word Agama means Religion, thus we adopt it for Luntiang Aghama to be known as Green Religion or Green Science. And by 2012 September 4 Landas ng Lahi came up that can be translated as Path of our Race though it is an Acronym for Luntiang Aghama Natural Divine Arts Shrine of Healing Inc.

From year 2000 up to the present time, Luntiang Aghama have evolved from a common interest group to personal Shrine to a Formal Shrine recognized by the Correllian Nativist Tradition of Wicca and now on becoming a Full Temple as we register it to the Securities and Exchange Commission. At the beginning, we are the one who is caring for Luntiang Aghama but now it is Luntiang Aghama that is caring for us. She is alive that she evolves. Though we do not have membership but we have people that have remember and walk back with us to the path of our race.
